Appraisal – Initiate appraisal cycle

Overview

This section describes the steps involved in starting an appraisal cycle for an employee. To start and appraisal cycle, you require

  • Evaluating Manager (defaulted to the employee’s manager). If required the evaluating manager can be changed.
  • Reviewing Manager (defaulted to employee’s manager’s manager . Applicable only if you choose Scheme 4 which requires the moderation of feedback by reviewer)
  • Evaluation period From
  • Evaluation period To
  • Appraisal scheme ( refer the “Appraisal – Scheme” documentation)

The Employee’s Manager (or one of the manager in the hierarchical chain) or the HR Manager can initiate an appraisal for an employee.

The employee's job position should be initialized with the evaluation form. If the evaluation form is NOT attached, the system throws an error.

Once an appraisal is initiated, employee, Manager and the reviewing Manager are notified of the appraisal.

Training

Manager

  1. Sign-in to Athri.
  2. Click the “Team” link in the top menu.
  3. From the direct reports list, locate the employee for whom an appraisal is required.

HR Manager

  1. Sign-in to Athri.
  2. Click the “HR Corner” link in the top menu.
  3. From the employee list, locate the employee for whom an appraisal is required.

4. Click the Employee’s name (or) “More” link.

5. Employee summary page appears.

6. Under “Reviews” section click the “Start Review” link.

7. In the drop down menu, select “Appraisal“.

8. Initiate Appraisal screen appears.

9. Fill the required details.

10. Click “Initiate” button to start the appraisal cycle.
